Hi there,

right now symfony is driving me nuts and i don't know if it's symfony or if it's me who is wrong.

I want to have a user permission system, where some users are able to create users with reduced permission.

For example: Administrators can create users belonging to every group.
Users in group A can only create users which automatically belong to group b.

Now the way symfony works, afaik, is to create a new class for a form, inherit from sfGuardUserForm and unset the fields which should not be displayed. But how should i then set the default group, when users from group a create a user?
Additionally i want to avoid usernames, and let them be autocreated through first_name and last_name.

So the question is: can this be done with sfguarduser of sfapply, or is it necessary to create this from scratch?

Thanks in advance!
