Hi all,

I am looking for a new permanent role in Birmingham, England or surrounding areas involving PHP and symfony development. I am a PHP5 and symfony 1.0 expert and am a long-standing member - and moderator - of the symfony forum community. I have 5+ years experience of PHP/OO, and solid experience in Oracle 10g, MySQL, jQuery, Tortoise, Subversion, LAMP stack configuration, and interfacing via XML/SOAP to a wide range of external systems.

I am a keen technologist and a fully self-directed coder. Bonus points for firms offering a highly technically mature environment, involving any of git, unit testing, one-click build, CI, Ruby/Python, Agile, XP, open source. Further points for roles that are commutable by public transport. I am generally looking at full time positions but am interested to consider part time ones also (28 hours/week+).

If you are actively looking for a new PHP developer at a senior level, drop me a line over at symfonians, or post here, and I'll get in touch. No agencies please. Roles involving any military/defence work will be politely turned down. Permanent remote opportunities considered.

[Edited to include note on part-time work]
