Hi there!

I would like to know how to increase the session timeout in symfony1.1.

Currently I just set the timeout to 864000 in settings.yml:
but this is not working.

all:
.settings:
timeout: 864000

Please let me know if you know of anything.

Thanks.

Is this for a Remember Me kind of functionality? You've made a good start. I added this to settings.yml:

Quote:

all:
.settings:
timeout: 18000000 # Session lifetime in seconds

My filters.yml looks like this:

rendering: ~

remember_me:
  class: sfGuardRememberMeFilter

security: ~

# insert your own filters here

cache: ~
common: ~
execution: ~

In app.yml, I add in this name for the cookie:

all:

  sf_guard_plugin:
     remember_key_expiration_age: 25920000
     remember_cookie_name: myAppRememberMe

By the way, if you are not doing a Remember Me kind of functionality, then change the default session length in your php.ini file. This is not a Symfony issue, it is a PHP issue. The default PHP session is only about 20 minutes long.
