Does anyone know how to get a modal to popup from a periodic update

http://www.asp.net/ajax/ajaxcontroltoolkit/samples/modalpopu p/modalpopup.aspx

if you click "Click here to change the paragraph style"

it show's a popup window (modal) in the middle of the page.

The goal is to have a event like a time you've set for an alarm to go off or something like that.

then the modal window popups "XYZ Event has occured"

Thanks.
