Where I work we are starting a new big project that is not planned to be released until April of 2011. We have decided to use Symfony 2 because hopefully by the time we release the project, Symfony 2 would have been out for at least a month or 2 being targetted for late 2010.
One issue I am already having is that stuff is working when I use index_div.php but not when I use index.php and without much documentation, I have not clue why this would happen (all I did what add a parameter to an existing function). Why would something work with one and not the other.
Also, is it completely insane to use Symfony 2 for a project that is going to be released around April 2011? One big concern I have is that I am going to write code for the next 2 months and then major changes happen in the API and I have to re-write everything. When do we think we will see a more stable API?

I personally think it is too early. However if you don't mind working at the cutting edge, and are happy with needing to rework some things, you could do it. This is not related to what is in symfony 2 per se - just that it is predicted to be unstable, and that it is worth letting it settle down first.Remember Palestine
