But now to business. I am about to start working on a project and was checking out Symfony when I saw the info about the upcoming Symfony 2 pre-release.
So here's my question.
Would it be better if I started coding it in SF 1.4 then port over to SF 2 when it's released or should I start coding it now in SF 2 (I know it says it's not ready for production use yet)? Should I even try learning SF 1.4 if things are going to change drastically in SF2?

I would recommend 1.4, definitely. 1.3 is good for old projects that still use deprecated approaches. 2.0 however doesn't have any bundled Forms or ORM yet, afaik anyway, so I think it is really only to see how the technology works. Try it if you really want to, but for a real project, use something stable.Remember Palestine
