Hi everybody,

we are currently (finally) switching to Subversion. But some files are not too easy to "versionalize": e.g. the database.yml and the propel.ini, since the databases on the two machines use different users and passwords.

Next problem is, that the databases have to be up-to-date all the time, which is double work if you keep them separated. Does make no sense...

So I thought: well, let's just use one database in our network, set it up in the config files, that's it. But - shame on me - I don't know how to give access to a MySQL database on another machine in a Windows 2000 network.

In case that setup is possible (I assume it is), could you please give me a hint?

Thank you very much,
Eddie
