sfGuard for frontend and backend [message #56462] Fri, 18 July 2008 13:56 Go to next message

I've recently installed sfGuardDoctrinePlugin and have been able to work on it with my backend app but not with my frontend app.
It seems /login is not well routed and in the frontend I get:
[sfError404Exception]
Action "login/index" does not exist.

Both apps have the same routing.yml and I've even tried to add the mentioned:
    sf_guard_signin:
      url:   /login
      param: { module: sfGuardAuth, action: signin }

    sf_guard_signout:
      url:   /logout
      param: { module: sfGuardAuth, action: signout }

    sf_guard_password:
      url:   /request_password
      param: { module: sfGuardAuth, action: password }

(and yes, I've done 'symfony cc' every time)

What am I missing here?

Don't know what has changed but now I get

[sfConfigurationException]
The module "sfGuardAuth" is not enabled.

Although the module is enabled in settings.yml

both these options were separately tried:
    enabled_modules: [default, sfGuardAuth, sfGuardGroup, sfGuardPermission, sfGuardUser]
    enabled_modules:      [default, sfGuardAuth]

For the front end you want to use this:
enabled_modules: [default, sfGuardAuth]

Check to see that you aren't already logged in. Surf to http://host/logout/ then try to visit a secure page.

As written, I have tried
enabled_modules: [default, sfGuardAuth]
as well.

In the backend after setting the security to on and doing 'symfony cc' and trying to access: http://host/backend_dev.php I get the notification 'Login Required' and clicking 'Proceed to login' takes me to http://host/backend_dev.php/login where I can login.

In the frontend after setting the security to on and doing 'symfony cc' and trying to access: http://host/frontend_dev.php I get the notification 'Login Required' and clicking 'Proceed to login' takes me to http://host/frontend_dev.php/default/login where I get the same message 'Login Required'. Trying to manually go to http://host/frontend_dev.php/login gets me the message "sfError404Exception] Action "login/index" does not exist."

Please assist

What does your security.yml look like for the app?

Both application have
default:
  is_secure: on

But I've also tried to get the login link when I set

default:
  is_secure: off

The is_secure parameter does work as expected but this is the not the problem Confused

FINALLY SOLVED

The problem was that I've had two
all:
  .settings:

sections in my settings.yml

No warning was issued and the last instance of it was used. Since I think this is a defect (to not issue a warning at the least), I've opened a ticket for it:

Remove all or comment all lines in "app.yml"

I had the same problem from a nearly clean symfony 1.1 PEAR isntallation - this should maybe be filed as a bug or explained in the sfGuard docs

- Thank heaven for forums!

This should probably be filed as a bug in the .yml configuration files parser. Enjoy Smile
