Hi

i'd humbly suggest to think about pimpin the admin generator so that it might display hierarchically structured data, coming out of a database either by using doctrines nested sets behaviour or propel 1.3's nested sets feature.

I could imagine some sort of a really simple tree grid view in which man could (as a super feature) resort leaves, nodes or whole subtrees by clicking on arrows or something like that or even by drag/drop. Ok, lets stay on the ground Wink

I think it could be a "nice to have", and only wanted to propagate the idea at this place

Perhaps one out of your developement team have too much time and nothing to do on weekend Very Happy

Yes and no. I simply imagine a treegrid view as a replacement for the default "list"-view of the admin generator. All the other crud-operations stay as they are, only the list view would change to show the hierarchy. Per default, the list view renders a flat table, sorted only by its atomic attributes, not regarding level/depth information or (calculated) parent/child relationships. The mentioned plugin "only" provides a gui control which can be placed everywhere in your app, but not as an replacement of the admin generated views (i think, this is unproved)
