I try to use sfDoctrineJCroppablePlugin, it use sfImageTransformPlugin to resize images, but resizing does't work well.

In code
    $img = new sfImage($dir . DIRECTORY_SEPARATOR . $original);
    $img->resize(400, null);
    $img->saveAs($dir . DIRECTORY_SEPARATOR . $editable);

But when I upload for example image with resolution 1280x1024 it create image 400x1024. Could anybody help with this?

Of course I can create own function to calculate resolution and pass right parameters to
$img->resize(400, null);

But I would like to know why id doesn't work well. Probably more people have such problem.
