Has someone successfully achieved this? What's the BIG catch??

Pls give a few lines of help at least. I developed for 1 month an application to get with this surprise that I can't show the client the project online.

I have been trying to create a subdomain to test it.

Thanks a lot in advance! Is it the .htaccess, the php.ini, the ProjectConfiguration.config.php?

Sincerely.

All right people.
I found the answer to why it is so hard to publish a Symfony app on Godaddy Windows (IIS7) shared hosting.

First of all obviously .htaccess doesn't work so we need to rewrite the URL. IIS 7 on Godaddy has Microsoft URL Rewrite Module on. We just need to add web.config file to our symfony /mysymfonyproject/web folder. I attached the exact copy of the result from importing htaccess in IIS7 with Microsoft rules. (YES MS has it.. you can import .htaccess on IIS URL Rewrite module)

http://learn.iis.net/page.aspx/470/importing-apache-modrewri te-rules/

Then just go ahead and it should work. Access yourdomain.com/module Laughing

The next problem i'm having is pdo_mysql.. If i find the solution i'll post it.

thanks

Regarding pdo_mysql (PDO Mysql) if someone might encounter a problem regarding this, the solution i found in godaddy windows shared hosting:

In godaddy at least you can create a custom php5.ini on the root folder. Do that, and copy the extracted original php.ini from the server. You can do this with a php function to read from c:\php5\php.ini and then paste it in php5.ini.

Create a show.php with:

<?php

$myfile = "C:/php5/php.ini";
$content= implode('', file($myfile));
echo $content;

Then uncomment

;extension=php_pdo_mysql.dll

from php5.ini

and you are done.

Hope this helps someone!!
