Hi everyone,

A new version of stOfcPlugin compatible with symfony 1.4 has been released. Thumbs Up Current release does not contain new features, only the compatibility with symfony 1.4 is added. While I continue the work to add new features and soon Rolling Eyes there will be a new release.

I would like to thank everyone for the appreciation of the work.

Current stable version is 1.0.2 for symfony 1.1, 1.2, 1.4 and 1.3 (not tested on 1.3 but should work).

Once again, I would love to have feedback or comments.

If you have any question/problem, please don’t hesitate. You can find my email address at the home page of the plug-in or you can post a message.

Best Regards,
Dawood RASHID

Hi,

thanks for your plugin... but Pie and Line Chart does not work for me.. I activated the examples and Bar and 3D Bar are OK.

The call of /stOfcExample/lineChartData
results in

Call to undefined method stGraph::title()

Any idea?

Thanks

It is strange Confused because in example module, title is used for all four types of graphs. So, it must work for all, if it is working for two types of graphs. On the other hand it is never called as a static function like you have mentioned in error message. So, I have to things to ask:

1) Whether you have tried to modify the code of example module?
2) Can you please send me the complete error message with the file name and line number? So, it will be easy for me to locate the error.

Try to do a clear cache. If you haven’t modified anything then one never knows a clear cache can do the trick. Rolling Eyes

@carloscalzadilla
First of all I would like to you for the appreciation. Smile Second, can you please explain in detail what actually you want to do? Whether you want to create a helper for the plug-in or you want to have the functionality to retrieve data form database and create graphs based on that data?

Normally, you don’t need to copy the stOfcExample module to you application but to activate the module in settings.yml of application.
all:
  .settings:
    enabled_modules:        [stOfcExample]

If you are still having the problem, then can you please send the complete error message or I would like to have a zip of your test project (if you can).

This is not a normal behavior. Whether you are getting the message undefined with your chart displayed or is it an error message in image format without chart?

The image you have attached with your message is not displaying. So, can you please re-upload the image?

@symf - images are best uploaded here to the forum, rather than on image upload sites. Users viewing this site through corporate firewalls will have such images blocked.

@drashid - thanks for your work on this, it is much appreciated. I have made the minor modifications necessary to get it to work under symfony 1.0 (yep, we're still using it!).

Two users previously complained about this error, when displaying the line chart:

Non-static method graph::esc() should not be called statically

I am getting this too, just running the demonstration code. The error is at open-flash-chart.php:1415, which has this line:

$this->key = graph::esc( $key );

And in the same file, this method is defined in the same file at line 171, non-statically:

	function esc( $text )

This might work in PHP4, but in PHP5 this is a problem - of course it should have "static" in the definition. Elsewhere, people are fixing it themselves Smile.

When I try to use the plugin, I get the following message:

Quote:

Fatal error: Call to undefined function public_path() in D:\xampp\htdocs\sf_sandbox\plugins\stOfcPlugin\lib\stOfc.cla ss.php on line 69

I did look for this function in the whole sandbox directory with no success.

@axel__,

I just replaced that line with:

return '/stOfcPlugin/images/';

Of course, you need a symlink "stOfcPlugin" in your /web folder to point to the /plugins/stOfcPlugin/web folder, so that its assets are publicly accessible.

Thanks for your hint.
Another solution is just to upgrade the symfony version. I used an old one, my mistake.

@symf
As I had already said, this is quite strange behavior. Confused
So, I tried to produce this error by using undefined values or labels but unfortunately I failed to produce this error.

So, can you please provide some details about how you are creating your chart or can you please post some code or only the function that you are using for creating chart?

{
  $data = PayMethodPeer::getPayMethodRatioByYear();

  $g = new stGraph();

  $g->bg_colour = '#fbfbfb';

  $g->pie(80,'#78B9EC','{font-size: 12px; color: #78B9EC;');

  $g->pie_values($data, array_keys($data));

  $g->pie_slice_colours( array('#d01f3c','#356aa0','#c79810') );

  $g->set_tool_tip( '#x_label#<br>#val#%' );

  $year = $this->getUser()->getAttribute('year');

  $g->title( "ration of payment methods $year", '{font-size:20px;}' );

  echo $g->render();

  return sfView::NONE;

I have tested your code and everything is working fine which lefts the only possibility that the problem is with your data. Whether you have dumped your data in case of “undefined” parts in your chart?

On the other hand, if you do not pass the second parameter or pass an undefined variable as second parameter to pie_values(),
$g->pie_values($data, array_keys($test));

Or
$g->pie_values($data);

These will result in undefined labels.

By looking at this I think that your data might contain some undefined indexes. So, I would like you to dump your data and verify whether the problem is with data or not.
